Leave Vietnam’s busy capital behind and head to the picturesque Mai Chau region of northwestern Vietnam, encompassed by majestic mountains. Combine the adventure of a bicycle trip and a hike through the Mai Chau countryside with plenty of relaxation amid serene surroundings.

Traveling round-trip from Hanoi, you’ll get a taste for local cuisine and regional culture as you experience the everyday lifestyle of friendly villagers in this rarely visited area of Vietnam! You’ll stay overnight at an authentic host family house and learn about the local customs of several regional cultures along the way! This small-group tour operates with a maximum of 12 people, ensuring you’ll receive personal attention from our friendly guide.

Itinerary: Hanoi, PuLuong (Mai Chau) – Mai Chau,ThanhHoa,Hanoi.

Day1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B, L,D)

Depart from your Hanoi hotel at 8:00 am transferring to Mai Chau on our spectacular drive.

Upon arrival at PoomCoom village in Mai Chau, we will take a short walk to visit the ethnic Thai people then lunch will be served.

13:00, take a short car ride in about 1 hour before we set off for our hiking through the beauty of PuLuong nature reserve, the trek is intermediate level and will require some walking up hills but it’s worth your hike as we will see many spectacular views of villages and terraces.

Arrival at the Thai stilt homestay in the late afternoon.

Free time to rest and shower, then a traditional dinner with our host family. Overnight here. 

Overnight in guesthouse in KhoMuong village or (Ban Don Village)

Wake up as early as you wish to witness the daily life of the locals before having breakfast at 7:00 am.

We will have a more relaxing morning today to stroll around the village of the Thai people, pay a visit a number of White Thai villages in the region, learning more about their everyday lifestyles, culture and customs from your guide.

En route, enjoy the stunning scenery and take photos at spectacular vista points or just relax in this pristine Vietnamese setting where few outsiders venture.

Return to your guesthouse for lunch and then say goodbye to your hosts in beautiful Mai Chau as you prepare to head back to the lively streets of Hanoi.

We will then have a scenic drive back to Hanoi.

Finish our trip at your hotel around 5:00 pm.
